What Oregonians wear.

The things Oregonians wear.
Look outside at your neighbors walking by.
Watch as the reserved civilians go about on their daily tasks and worries.
Though, no one quite processes what they are wearing!
The other day I was at Walmart, and I saw a man wearing slippers, and a robe. Who knows what he had under it, but man, like really? You're going to go shopping at Walmart in that?
That it not even the worst of it, my friends.
Kids going to school come to school wearing shorts in the snow, flip flops in the fall. They are wearing pajamas to school, uggs with short shorts. It's like, what are you trying to prove? What are you showing off?
The things people wear.
The things Oregonians wear!
If you have a story of some ridiculous things people wear, please share. (:

BE THANKFUL.

Thank God every day for what you have, because it could be taken away in a second.
Be thankful.
Never stop believing.
and cherishing your moments with your family. Never take them for granted.

Who is Camille Domenica La Rocca?

I am just a 14 year old girl from McMinnville, Oregon. I was born in Portland, Oregon. My birthday is on July 20th.
My passion is photography, hip-hop dancing, reading, and writing.
Not only do I take photos, but I sometime add my own words into my photos. Photography is wonderful on it’s own, but if I add a touch of my writing to it, a whole new wonderful thing is in front of my eyes.
I started taking photos when I was about ten, and I would take pictures with my phone. Photography runs in the family, so my grandfather, who is also a photographer, told me that my little phone pictures were actually somewhat good for a small phone. He lent me his digital camera, which I use now. After he gave it to me, I started taking photos all the time and that was about the same time I came home from school and would just write my heart out. Pages and Pages and pages. I loved it. Soon, my ideas of adding my writing to my photos came to me and I added it in. People started noticing that I got a little good at photography, and I had my first photo shoot of a family for their mother for mothers day. They made the photos into a calendar for her, and she absolutely loved them. Their mind was blown that a young teen could do something beautiful with a camera, and make a photo look fantastic and professional. Soon after, a bakery offered to hang my photos in their restaurant. So I framed a few of my photos and they are still hanging in Red Fox Bakery on 3rd street in McMinnville to this day.
That is how photography started for me, and I hope that photography will be a big part of my career when I grow up and grow with my knowledge in the world, in God, and in photography.
Thank you for reading my bio, and keep checking for new photos.(: If you would ever like to email me questions, offers, or would like to share with me, your photography or ideas for me, you can email me at domenica.fairy@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Gasps for it's first breath of icy air

till the sun kisses the horizon and your camera pulses with the beat of ideas

Flowers

More than what the eye can see
drifting toward me
you break off of your soul
bending in the breeze
you cover your face
aching for something more
than to lose
parts of you
every
waking
hour

I love flowers...

and more(:

ASB- Essay.

Camille LaRocca.

Why you should vote for me.

Inventive. Industrious. Purposeful. Tenacious. These are all good qualities of a leader, but what is a leader? One that leads or guides. One who is in charge or in command of others. One who has influence of power. Many have come to believe that being a leader doesn’t take much work at all, and they just want to be a leader because they have power and can control people.  I do not believe that being in a leading position is about power or control. I feel that being a good leader is about people trusting you because they know you have compassion for their concerns and welfare. People want a leader they believe will make a change for the better.
Making a change includes sharing your talents with others. If everyone brought their talents together to help others then we could definitely make a huge change for the better. One of my talents is communicating with people, which I think is a huge role in leadership. I enjoy reading and writing and I am not afraid to speak in front of people, articulate my thoughts, and listen to others ideas as well.  All those qualities help me be a good leader.
Being an involved teenager, life can be busy. Organization and managing my time is another skill I posses. I have a talent for organizing my time between school, homework, sports, music, and other involvements in the community. To be involved is a very important aspect in my life and I am always trying to recruit other people to be involved because it is rewarding. I’m good at persuading people, which would be good as a leader so I can help recruit people to help out in whatever project is going on. Through the thick and thin of my life, I still manage to stay calm and keep focused. Usually, in the face of distress or crisis, I am calm. This ability to adapt is something that I can bring to the leadership class, a logical, intelligent approach towards things. I work hard to get what is important in life. People tell me that I am not the typical every day outgoing, loud, energetic teenager wanting to be a part of leading something just so they can have control. I can give a different, compassionate approach on things that are important and point out positive facts. I feel that the schools kids need to feel that they can trust the person who is leading them, and I know that I have a lot of friends who do trust me with leading and organizing projects and such for their school. People need to be able to know that their leader will stick with their word and not just brag about what good they can do, and then do nothing. Leading, means that you will follow through with your comitments. A trustworthy, compassionate helper makes one of the best leaders.
One of the most important qualities of a leader is to work hard and to get things done on time. In middle school, kids don’t take things seriously and I like to find a way to get my peers to think more. I do take things seriously and I’m always the very best that I can be, having a positive, happy attitude. It’s a good thing to be happy because then you can really enjoy the work that you are doing, and you will bring a light, fun mood to those around you. Being passionate about what you do and being kind is a very important trait of a person in a leadership role.
As a leader, I would do my best to bring my peers together, find their passion to get involved, and show them how important it is to set a good example for others to move their lives in the right direction. Fun activities and assemblies are a good way to bring members of my school together, because as well as them having fun we can point out events that may be going on to help the school, such as fundraisers, or even helping out the community. Spirit week is also another good way to bring people together because they will have fun and also have faith in McMinnville High School.
I believe that if kids begin to realize how they can make a difference in the world then they will be more than happy to help out. This is my way of pledging to be the best leader I can be for the rest of my life. I want to put my full effort into helping people and being a leader, whether in school or outside of school. As Colonel Dandridge M. Malone says, “The very essence of leadership is its purpose. And the purpose of leadership is to accomplish a task. That is what leadership does–and what it does is more important than what it is or how it works.”

"If you're reading this, I love you" notes

Putting these all around town. Hopefully it'll make a stranger smile, and bring hope to people. Start doing something like this.  Write little sayings on paper and give it to a random stranger. Believe. Share the love.

Never waist time. Fill up every moment with something important. Live your life.((:
I sometimes feel like I am hiding behind prison bars.
BE SILLY. You only have so long before it is unacceptable.
